What makes Climate different

Less manifestos. More action.

We didn't invent volunteering. We just decided to organise it. Here's what guides every event and every feature.

  • Real action

Practical events, on the ground, with results you can see and feel. Dirty work, trees planted, kilos of trash collected.

  • Simplicity

Find, choose and join eco events in a few clicks. No endless forms, no bureaucracy.

  • Transparency

Every event and result is verified and audited by the community. You know who organises and where your effort goes.

  • Credibility

We only work with NGOs, town councils and projects we've vetted. You always know whose work you're backing.

  • Positive impact

Each action counts. See what you've done: hours given, trees planted, waste diverted.

  • Young community

Built by young people, for young people. Surrounded by people who share your values and want to act, not just post.

Recognised for our vision

Winners of Step Up to Start Up 2024.

Climate won first place in the inaugural edition of Step Up to Start Up, Portugal's biggest entrepreneurship programme for young people. Picked from dozens of projects, we walked away with a €30,000 prize and mentors who actually know what they're doing.

That prize is paying for the development you're looking at today. It's also why we can promise this thing is built to last, not just to demo.

A short manifesto

We don't post.

We show up.

We don't promise.

We plant.

An open letter

Dear NGOs, town councils, schools and local projects —

Run better events. Reach a generation that actually shows up.

Climate handles the boring parts: publishing events, sign-ups, attendance, impact reports. Your team stops fighting spreadsheets and starts running the work that matters.

FAQ

Real talk

Quick answers before you sign up.

01.What is Climate?

Climate is an app that connects people to real environmental events (cleanups, plantings, workshops) and helps organisers find volunteers who actually show up.

02.How can I participate in events?

Download the app, browse events near you, tap to sign up. That's it. It's free and open to everyone.

03.Do I have to pay to participate?

Most events are free. A few workshops or special experiences are paid, and the organiser tells you up front.

04.Does Climate organise events directly?

No. The events are run by NGOs, town councils, schools, companies and local projects. Our job is to make it easy for you to find them, and easy for them to find you.

05.What types of events can I find on Climate?

Beach and forest cleanups, tree plantings, workshops, talks, ecology days, sustainable teambuilding. And plenty more.
